It’s been a year since I published my book, Being Transparent with Yourself, God, and Others!
I wasn’t sure what God had in mind when He led me down this path. All I knew was, I needed to write this book. Transparency was a struggle for me and I’m learning more about it every day. I still have far to go. The writing of the book was my communicating with God. Thank you for coming along with me on my therapeutic journey. I have grown so much through your kind words, and even with your struggles on the “transparency” topic. You’ve been with me every step of the way.
Look at some of the highlights from this past year!
- June: Author signing with my Alma mater, Trevecca Nazarene University. This was a great time to see old friends and make new ones.
- Summer: You continued to purchase and tell others about the book. Thank you!
- September: Website was born, www.susanmsims.com, and I was able to participate in our district ladies’ retreat event.
- November: Book signing at Barnes & Noble. Lots of fun!
- December: Launched an online Bible study on my book.
- January: Spoke with a group of ladies in Nashville, TN. Led a Wednesday night Bible study at local church.
- February: Radio interview.
- March: Spoke to a group of ladies in Oklahoma.
- April: Spoke to a group of ladies in Memphis, TN.
- May: Finalizing “A Leader’s Guide” for the book and making plans for the fall!
As you can see, it’s been quite a year! Thank you to all of you who have made this year a success. We have now sold over 200 books (double what I was told self-published authors would sell).
Our transparency journey is just beginning and I need your help.
